Kansas State University was founded primarily as an agricultural school...I'd like to see us take a step forward and start providing more food to be consumed right here on campus, in the dining halls and at the union. I think there are quite a few places where landscaping could be altered to provide actual food instead of just some trees, bushes, and grass that has to be mowed in the warmer months. We already have the labor to do it in our grounds crew, and I don't think many people would mind putting in some berry bushes and fruit trees!

I attached a video from UMass that illustrates the concept I am thinking of. It wouldn't necessarily have to be done just like in the video, but the overall concept is what I am getting at.
