Emergency Sprinklers in Hale Library

Hale Library is one place that needs some improvements. Whenever there is a false fire alarm, the sprinkler system pipes are filled with water. Since the system is so old, pipes tend to burst and this has ruined many books and has also damaged the Mural Room (a one of a kind). The sprinkler system in Hale should be replaced with a new system that will end up saving priceless works and equipment from damage that should not have occurred. This will also save K-State money by not having to replace books that are ruined or for restoration of areas that are damaged.

The link below gives you an idea of what has happened in the past.

I have no idea of the cost of this type of project, and it doesn't seem too glamorous, but it is something that needs to be addressed.
