With the adoption of the 2025 plan and expansion of distance education, the university needs some affordable, full-service, extended stay temporary housing. Graduate students required to come to campus to defend their theses or participate in on-campus cohorts are often unable to find reasonable accomodations at affordable rates for their stays. Visiting faculty and researchers who need to be in town for a week to a month are often hard pressed to find an acceptable location which can accommodate that stay.
