Housing should be created for visiting international scholars and professors. Currently, very little housing is available to international visitors. This is particularly difficult because many come to conduct research for short periods of time and it is difficult to find apartments or houses for a single adult, sometimes for less than 1 year. And if housing can be found, it may not be near campus. These visitors do not have cars and most don't intend to purchase a car as they are here only a short period of time. If the university vision is to be one of the top 50 research institutes, we can expect that the number of visiting international researchers will increase. In fact, the current number could be higher now if we had either housing for them, or public transportation. I hear that it is very difficult to bring visiting scientists to this campus.
