Currently our testing system on campus is archaic at best. We do all of our test taking on paper. Essays are hand-written which is a pain for students and professors alike. Multiple choice is done through scantron which is not much better. With a new testing center we could do all testing on computers. This could open up new avenues for testing material, such as videos and other types of media too. Grading would be simplified for professors and students would be happy to get their grades faster. Disabled students needs could be easily addressed for test taking as well. Students would not be able to cheat as easily and there would be no need for multiple test revisions.Depending on the location of the testing rooms there would be less distractions from other classes, construction, etc.

I think this would make testing easier for everyone on campus.
