The university should consider one of three options concerning the power plant.
1)Replacing the decommissioned smoke stack at the K-State power plant with something that provides power to the university
2)Make the smoke stack more aesthetically pleasing
3)Deconstruct the smoke stack

With either option 2 or 3 the university should consider supplementing power to the university by adding large commercial wind turbines possibly north of main campus near the NBAF site where the Kansas wind almost always seems to be constant.
This could provide energy to the university and reduce the cost of electricity for the university.
